Kitchen Scrubby

My family made a quick trip to Hobby Lobby which is close to an hour away and I found Red Heart Scrubby yarn.  Some how I have never come across this yarn before and HAD to have it! Our dishwasher is broken so it was a perfect time to make some scrubbies to use in the kitchen so that I didn’t have to spend a ton of money on some.  I love that I can just toss these in the washer and reuse whenever I want to.  You can make soooooo many  with just one skein of Red Heart Scrubby yarn.

Materials:

Red Heart Scrubby yarn (any color)

Sugar n’ Cream yarn (any color)

H hook

Directions:

Using Red Heart Scrubby yarn

Round 1: dc 12 in MR

Round 2: *2 dc in each dc* around (24)

Round 3: *dc, 2 dc in next dc* around (36)

Round 4: *dc 2, 2 dc in next dc* around (48)

Round 5: *dc 3, 2 dc in next dc* around (60)

F/o.

Using Cotton yarn

Round 1-4: *repeat same as Scrubby yarn*

Round 5: *sc 3, 2 sc in next sc* around (60)

F/o.

Assembly:

Whip stitch the pieces together all the way around  leaving 15 stitches not sewn shut.  This allows a hand to be inserted into the middle to get extra good scrubbing. However feel free to just sew all the way around and use as a scrubber without a hand insert.
