Claw Machine-Small Pocket Farm Animals

I bought a claw machine to use for events! Emmie Sue Designs got me all interested in it. I am doing a fair later in July and thought some farm animals would be a huge hit in the claw machine. The claw machine works as follows:

Price is $5 to play

You get only one plushie per turn.

There are no losers! If you don’t get a prize from the machine you get to choose from my on hand claw machine inventory.

I am excited to include my pocket sized farm animals to the claw machine. You can make your own pocket animals by visiting my Etsy. Click here to check out the pattern:

Bigfoot Pattern

I will be attending the Bigfoot Festival in Sutton, WV this June! I immediately went hunting for a Bigfoot pattern but could not find any that met my needs…hence, here we are. I will be creating other mythical monsters in the future too…so stay tuned for those. You can find the pattern over on etsy using the link below. Check out how cute he turned out and if you choose to make one please share so we can see all the lovely creations. I did use Parfait Chunky to make him a decent size, however, he can still be used with acrylic size 4 yarn, but you will have to change hook size.

You will take the thin part of the stem and stick it in the body through the magic ring of 6 sc in the very beginning so that it sticks out the very bottom.  The larger part should be sitting on the surface of the inside. This allows for the stem/spinner to stay in place and can rotate in place.

Row 2-5: *sc in each sc* across, chain 1(2)

Row 6: dec across both stitches (1)

F/o. leave a long tail to sew onto stem/spinner

Once you have put the stem/spinner into the very bottom of the body.  Attach the leaves on the outside part as the picture shows.

Round 1: chain 11, sc 9 across, 3 sec in last chain, turn work, sc 9 across, 3 sec in last chain (24)

Round 2: in back loop only, sc in each sc around.

F/o. Leave a long tail to se onto body.

Assembly:  Follow assembly instruction in the pattern.  My son wanted some stuffing in it so his small characters can fit in it, but didn’t want me to sew it in because he has larger characters who also needed to fit.

Kitchen Scrubby

My family made a quick trip to Hobby Lobby which is close to an hour away and I found Red Heart Scrubby yarn.  Some how I have never come across this yarn before and HAD to have it! Our dishwasher is broken so it was a perfect time to make some scrubbies to use in the kitchen so that I didn’t have to spend a ton of money on some.  I love that I can just toss these in the washer and reuse whenever I want to.  You can make soooooo many  with just one skein of Red Heart Scrubby yarn.

Sugar n’ Cream yarn (any color)

Using Red Heart Scrubby yarn

Round 1: dc 12 in MR

Round 2: *2 dc in each dc* around (24)

Round 3: *dc, 2 dc in next dc* around (36)

Round 4: *dc 2, 2 dc in next dc* around (48)

Round 5: *dc 3, 2 dc in next dc* around (60)

Using Cotton yarn

Round 1-4: *repeat same as Scrubby yarn*

Round 5: *sc 3, 2 sc in next sc* around (60)

Whip stitch the pieces together all the way around  leaving 15 stitches not sewn shut.  This allows a hand to be inserted into the middle to get extra good scrubbing. However feel free to just sew all the way around and use as a scrubber without a hand insert.
