Vileplume

I have to first apologize for waiting so long to post this pattern.  He has been ready for about a year now.  I started teaching in September, prepared for my wedding in February, and have been house hunting.  We think we have found “the one” hopefully.  But anyways, Beau has been asking for Vileplume, but I didn’t really want to make him, so it took me awhile to do it for him.  He is a cutie, and very simple to make.  I hope you enjoy making your own.

Here is the new pattern you have been waiting for:  vileplume

Feraligatr

By popular demand I’m starting to make PDFs for all my patterns.  I’ll still have write ups posted on my blog but in the event you want to download the pattern, all you have to do is click on the link. This should make things alot easier for those of you who like to print things out or save them to your computer.  So first pattern: Feraligatr

There are quite a few pokemon that I get requests for from my fiancé and others.  The ones with the greatest frequency are always those that are part of my party from the games.  Ever since I got SoulSilver and added Toto to my party he’s been at the top of the request list.  Unfortunately, he’s also been at the top of the list of those pokemon that scared me senseless.  I just couldn’t see how to make him.  So, now, years after getting the game (our Feraligatr is level 75 now), I got it in my head to try him out.  Where urges like these come from no one knows, my fiancé is trying to come up with some kind of formula to figure it out.  Regardless, this little guy really worked me for a while, but now that he’s done I just want to hug him!

I hope you like the pattern and that your Feraligatr turns out as endearing as mine did!

Attach body to Head and mouth piece.

Row 17 of tail attaches to body.  The hump  should be sewed on near the top of the body, right below the head.  Look at pictures for placement of spikes and patches.

Yoda

“Yoda, you seek Yoda!”  *Theme of the Force starts playing*

Sorry, I had to start with a Yoda quote/flourish.  They’re all pretty memorable and well, it’s Yoda.  Needless to say Beau was very excited when I started working on him.  Especially when I told him Yoda would be close to “life” size.  I finished him much more quickly than expected, and have already had quite a bit of fun with him.  He’s very poseable (his eyelids move to give expression, as does his mouth, and his arms and legs are pretty bendable as well.  It’s funny to think that three years ago I didn’t even care to see Star Wars and now I’m making amigurumis of it (which I also couldn’t have done three years ago).  I think Beau feels a little bad for turning me to the nerd side of the force, but its hard to complain with the results.

I hope you like this pattern as much as both Beau and I do.

Mewtwo

Thanks to a lighter class schedule this semester I’ve been able to do some patterns that were high on Beau’s request list, but were a little too intimidating/daunting otherwise.  Mewtwo was one of those requests.  I’ve bounced back and forth between feeling up to the task of making the first big legendary pokemon and leaving him on the wish list.

Now that he’s finished, Beau is pretty happy.  He turned out smaller than I originally thought he would, but I think the small size just makes him more stable for standing and posing.   At any rate, I hope you enjoy making him as much as I did.

Assembly:

This guy doesn’t really like to stand up very well, but can if forced to every once in awhile.  I put a  flat rock in each of his feet to help him stand better.  Sew  toes onto feet and feet to leg.  Sew  hip onto body, and then attach leg to the hip.  I then took the tail/ belly patch and sewed that on in between the two hips.  The arms were then sewed on to the body.  Chest added next with beginning chains on top of shoulders.  Attach ears to head and head to neck.  Check picture for placements.

Snorlax

I had another one of those urges to make something simple while I complete my next BIG project.  I had my eye on this one for awhile and Beau had asked for him a couple times, so I figured why not?  He didn’t take very long to finish, when started, and Beau is extremely happy with him, though he feels guilty that there was no felting involved.   I hope you enjoy this awesome little snorlax as much as he has.
