Vaporeon

Hello everyone, it’s been a while since I was able to write up a pattern for any amigurumis I make.  School kept me pretty busy this past semester and I lost some of the pattern for another pokemon I had made (Axew).  I’ll try and get the other one to you soon but in the meantime, I also finished the much requested Vaporeon.  She is pretty quick to make and very posable.  I have some other big projects on the way so hopefully I’ll be able to finish them before school starts again.  I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and has a Happy New Year.

Materials:

blue cotton yarn

dark blue caron simply soft yarn

white and cream redheart yarn

black, white and light purple felt

g hook

stuffing

glue gun

Body, Head, Legs

I used WolfDreamers Umbreon pattern to create these parts so I wanted to give her credit.  The link is below to do these parts.

Assembly:

Attach legs to body and head.  Check pictures for positioning.  Attach tail.  The tail should wrap around the body on one side, of your choice.   Attach flippers to the end of the tail with the f/o. facing attaching to the tail.  Sew the dark blue point on to the dark blue part of the head.  Center he point on the part, and sew together.  Then take the mane, center it on the dark blue part of the head and let it extend and wrap around the tail.  Check picture for positioning.  The end of the mane should meet at the start of the flippers.  Take the white collar and wrap it around the neck and sew the starting chains to the f/o. side.  The blue part of the fins should be curled/ bent in half to sew on to the white part of the fins, the long side.  Check picture if confused.  Sew on each piece to the head.  Felt as necessary.

Sorry my assembly is so poor in directions.  If you ever have questions, I’ll be happy to help.

  1. YAY!!!! I’ve been waiting so long for someone to make a good Vaporeon pattern, and this is WONDERFUL!!!! Gonna start work on it right away!!!! 😀 Thanks so much!!!!

  2. […] This is the first of my eeveelutions, and specifically requested by a friend. After spending a couple weeks on piplup, I was really happy that there was already an awesome pattern: http://shedko247.wordpress.com/2011/12/31/vaporeon/ […]

  3. Wow, this is really amazing! I love it!!!

  4. This is a wonderful pattern, and I’m trying really hard (I’m still very much a beginner!) to get it right. One thing that’s confusing me though – on the collar, are you doing chain stitches between rows, or just taking the next stitch from where the last one on the previous row left off?

    1. What I did between rows was just turn the work so that now you’ll be working in your last stich. You can chain 1, and then turn the work but it doesn’t leave a nice edge. Hope that helps 🙂

      1. Thank you!

  5. hello,

I have a question, seeing the pattern is my idea or would you missing the body?

excuse my English, I speak Spanish
    thanks

    1. I did not create the pattern for the body. I used WolfDreamers pattern which is listed on the site, but I will give it again 🙂

  6. Under materials you said to use blue cotton yarn, do you have to use cotton yarn or can you use red heart of caron simply soft?

    1. you can use any type of yarn such as red heart or the simply soft. I just used the cotton, so thats why I stated it that way. As long as they are about the same thickness things should be fine. 🙂

  7. for the back legs did you do anything different then wolfdreamers pattern? it looks different and very cute sitting, so i just wanted to know.

  8. thank you, honey. I love this pattern. I did not yet post the picture of my lovely vaporeon on FB, but as soon as I do I will send you the link, =)

  9. This is a wonderful pattern ^^
I just needed to say, the collar thing was pretty difficult to figure out, I managed, but still I had to improvise a little. Maybe you should make some step by step pictures of how you made them, that would save a lot of time figuring it out.
    Nonetheless, I really enjoyed this<3

  10. Thank you for this pattern. I was wondering if you used wire to make the ears stand up.

    1. No, I didn’t. It just did it on it’s own.
